Vacation Cabin Rental Fredericksburg Texas

My wife and I just finished our stay at the Outpost (09-20-2025-09-22-2025). To say it was perfect is not enough. The trip was for our 27th wedding anniversary and the first time in over 17 years where we able to spend time together by ourselves. Our expectations were beyond high for a great weekend. Well Lori and Mike not met those expectations and but went beyond them with our stay at the Outpost. From the serenity of the location to the amenities of the cabin is so awesome. We enjoyed walking the property, relaxing on the porch, and “hunting” the eggs. Thank you so much for the memories we made and we look forward to returning. The Merchants. The Outpost was an amazing place to stay at. All the great memorabilia and history was so well displayed and great to look at. The place is so clean and well kept. The history brought so many memories for out military family and first responders. The Outpost offers such a peaceful and relaxing time for all who enter. Owners Response: You are very welcome Cathy! It isn't often that a rental is even better in person than all of the magical photos online used to entice you to stay, but The Outpost definitely can't be fully captured in a photograph. At the end of the driveway a beautiful cabin and homesite awaits guests. It is immediately obvious that the place was top notch and the owners were thoughtful and intent with every decision to create and maintain their cabin and yard. We loved it so much that we couldn't tear ourselves away to go to town and eat and made due with the few groceries we brought so that we could enjoy the porch and the sunset during our first night there. The weather was nice even at the end of July due to the nice breezes and we enjoyed the views, hiking, watching birds, etc. Inside there are movies, games, hidden mind games, and a ton of fascinating memorabilia and information honoring our first responders and veterans. There is a book that has a lot of information about The Outpost and the surrounding area which I really enjoyed reading. I like knowing that the owners are invested in the area and respect the history and their neighbors. The cabin provided everything you might need during a trip away from home. I don't think I could name one thing I looked for that I didn't find available. The master bedroom had great views of the canyon and the bed was so comfortable that we slept better in it than our own bed at home. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay that gives you seclusion, but isn't too inconvenient for trips to town then book The Outpost. You won't regret it. Make sure you visit Enchanted Rock that is nearby! We loved it.

I wish I could give 10 stars! The Outpost is by far the best vacation rental. Everything is spotless. Every detail well thought out. Whether you are looking for a retreat or a family vacation, this is the perfect place. I love The Outpost, and now so does my spouse.
